    Man Arrested in New Jersey Boating Accident

    Pursuant to news report on NJ.com, Alex Majors, a 23 year old man from Sparta New Jersey has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run boating accident that occurred at Lake Mohawk. The boating accident occurred June 14th around 12:30 am. Mr. Majors was allegedly the driver of the 18-foot boat that struck a paontoon boat, injuring two people, and then fleeing the scene. He has been charged with endangering an injured victim, leaving the scene of a vessel accident with serious bodily injury and assault by vessel.

    As a result of this boating accident, all five passengers in the pontoon boat were thrown from the boat into the water. The most seriously injured victim was 23 year old Alexa Reigstad. She was taken by lifeflight to MOrristown Medical Center with a concussion. Alexa was knocked unconscious went underwater impact. She was helped to the surface by her twin sister Brianna who was also on the boat. This near drowning incident made her recovery more complicated but fortunately, her condition improved and she was released Monday afternoon. Brianna was also injured and was treated at Morristown Medical Center. James Glasson, 23, was also seriously injured and treated for a concussion at Morristown Medical Center.
